Refurbishment of Converted Water Mill
Dorgogne, France

Moulin de Rodesol, a historic water mill on the river Dronne, was converted into a large dwelling about 50 years ago. This major refurbishment addresses a legacy of poor circulation, means of escape and muddled internal layout, whilst comprehensively refurbishing the whole of the three storey structure.

The design includes a relocated front entrance, new central staircases, a dining room that bridges the river, a gallery overlooking the main living space and a large master bedroom suite with a bathtub overlooking the river. Externally, balconies on the upper levels are linked by steps to a hot tub terrace, the garden and swimming pool.
